Wide-Coverage Human Presence Detection: ICLEGEND Introduces XenD101HW and XenD103HW

Shanghai, China, August 6, 2026 – ICLEGEND MICRO today announced the launch of the XenD101HW and XenD103HW, two new mmWave sensors for human presence detection. As the latest additions to the XenD series, these new products address diverse application scenarios with differentiated detection coverage and installation flexibility, offering broader solution choices for smart space sensing applications.

In applications such as smart lighting, smart appliances, and energy-efficient security systems, devices need to reliably detect not just moving persons but also stationary human targets in sitting, reclining, or sleeping states. Operating at 24GHz, millimeter-wave radar technology delivers consistent performance regardless of lighting, temperature, humidity, or dust conditions, making it an ideal sensing solution for stationary human presence detection.The XenD series is ICLEGEND MICRO’s product family purpose-built for human life presence detection and active space sensing applications. Leveraging verified chip capabilities and production-proven hardware reference designs, the XenD series enables customers to rapidly develop intelligent space-sensing products, covering the full spectrum from motion detection to stationary presence sensing.

 

XenD101HW: 1.5× Extended Long-Range Coverage for Continuous Large-Space Sensing

The XenD101HW features a compact 20mm × 20mm form factor and supports both ceiling and wall mounting. In ceiling-mounted configurations, the detection projection diameter for motion and subtle motion reaches 16 meters (at 2.7m mounting height), with stationary detection up to 10 meters. In wall-mounted configurations, motion detection extends to 11.5 meters (at 1.5m height), with stationary detection up to 6 meters. This extended detection range enables continuous presence sensing in larger spaces such as conference rooms, living areas, and public zones, preventing false off-switching caused by detection blind spots. The device supports dual 3.3V and 5V power supply, with PWM output and ambient light sensing available for lighting applications, simplifying system integration.

 

XenD103HW: Slim-Form Factor for Flexible Deployment in Space-Constrained Installations

The XenD103HW offers a slim 7mm × 35mm profile while delivering the same detection performance as the XenD101HW. It is designed for embedded integration into space-constrained structures such as control panels and linear luminaires. By offering a different physical form factor without compromising sensing capability, it provides a flexible solution for products with varied spatial layouts and installation requirements, enabling greater industrial design freedom.

Both the XenD101HW and XenD103HW are built on ICLEGEND MICRO’s S1 series 1T1R SoC, incorporating FMCW technology with integrated life presence sensing and ranging functions. The devices support UART-based IAP firmware upgrades, offer UART and GPIO interfaces, and feature a ±60° detection angle. Operating in the 24–24.25GHz frequency band, they comply with SRRC, FCC, and CE regulatory standards. With the addition of the XenD101HW and XenD103HW, iClegEND MICRO continues to strengthen the XenD series portfolio, delivering millimeter-wave sensing solutions that address a wider range of spatial coverage requirements and installation scenarios in the evolving smart space sensing market.
